Visa application can be apply at any nearest Malaysian Embassies and High Commissions Office Abroad. Application can also be made online through eVISA Portal (applicable for Tourist, Expatriate, Student and Medical Tourist from 10 countries (People Republic of China (PRC), India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Bhutan, Serbia and Montenegro only). eVISA Portal can be access through malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my

1. Application for a Visa Without Reference

Documents required for Visa Without Reference application (approval of visa is given by Malaysian Embassies and High Commissions Office Abroad) are:

  1. Original passport
  2. Two (2) photocopies of the applicant’s passport
  3. Two (2) photocopies of the visa application form (Form IMM.47)
  4. Two (2) passport size photographs of the applicant
  5. Original and two (2) photocopies of the ticket (confirmed and returned ticket)
  6. Bank statement / traveller’s cheque
  7. Invitation letter (if any)
  8. Visa fee

Application for a Visa With Reference

Documents required for Visa With Reference application (visa will issued after the application is being referred and approved by Immigration Department of Malaysia / Other Authorised Agencies) are:

  1. Original approval letter from the Immigration Department of Malaysia / other authority agencies
  2. Original passport
  3. Two (2) photocopies of the applicant’s passport
  4. Two (2) photocopies of visa application form (Form IMM.47)
  5. Two (2) passport size photograph of applicant
  6. Original and two (2) photocopies of an air ticket
  7. Payment of visa fee

What is eVISA?

eVISA is an online application platform that enable foreign nationals to apply for an electronic visa to enter Malaysia at the comfort of your convenience.

Invitation Letter

1. The invitation letter will be issued after the successful registration.

2. Your name must be listed exactly as it appears on your passport. Any differences between the name on your passport and the name on your invitation letter or other documentation could lead to a delay and/or denial of your visa.

3. Please note ICCT Conferences and the organizing committee of the conference are not authorized to assist with the VISA process beyond providing the Notification of Invitation Letter issued by ICCT Conferences and conference Committee Board. Should your application be denied, ICCT Conferences and the organizing committee of the conference cannot change the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nor will ICCT Conferences and the organizing committee of the conference engage in discussion or correspondence with the MOFA or the Embassy on behalf of the applicant. The registration fee cannot be refunded when the VISA application of individual being denied.

4. It takes around one month for the Embassy to process the VISA application, please register as early as you can to make sure you have enough time.
